I took this photo in 2005 for a photography assignment in which we had to emulate a famous photographer. A very special "WHOO-HOO, YOU'RE... great" to whoever guesses the photographer. Chris - you don't count.
Anyway, it was darkroom printed and then scanned. Minor level adjustments and healing brush. I used a very nice (borrowed) macro lens, which was really fun to use. I photographed these on a cloudy day (diffused light) to bring out the tones on the rounded parts of the asparagus. The intention was to give it a sense of three-dimensionality. I think there's quite a good tonal range here.
i didn't do photography...but was it the guy who made capsicums and stuff look like people...actually i don't know if such a person exists or i made them up... i really have no idea...just the image of capsicums lingers in my mind...
wow. i never thought i could stare at a peice of asparagus so long. i like it. its very stare-able. The grainy-ness of it makes it look...almost warm? i know that sounds weird, but it does, it makes it look nice and soft. The lines and all that make it nice to look at too. i really like it. could i get a print?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Merry Christmas to you out there but don't forget: we are only guests here and so...listen to my favourite words... and look at all these wonderful pieces of art
